Library under Trees (Knjižnica pod krošnjami) is a project aimed at adding variety to the range of Ljubljana's leisure activities. It offers visitors an opportunity to borrow books, comic books, magazines and newspapers in different languages free of charge.

"The world's only 100% natural library" will operate through seven branch libraries across the World Book Capital 2010, making it possible for visitors to enjoy reading, leafing through and enjoying books in the following tree-shaded locations:

Tivoli park (a wide choice of reading for everyone)
Open: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-20:00.

Trnovski pristan embankment (reading for humanities students and aficionados)
Open: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-20:00.

Tabor park (reading for senior readers)
Open: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00-15:00, Sunday 10:00-20:00.

Ljubljana Botanic Garden (reading for poetry and nature lovers)
Open: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-20:00.

Ljubljana Castle (reading for tourists)
Open: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-20:00.

Breg embankment (cosmopolitan newspapers)
Open: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00-20:00.
