Three new hotels to open in Ljubljana

By this summer, Ljubljana will see the opening of three new hotels: the luxury Plaza Hotel Ljubljana at the BTC City shopping centre, the Vander Urbani Resort hotel in the old city centre, and the G Design Hotel on the western edge of Ljubljana.
Druga Godba – an ultimate experience of 'other music'

From 8 to 26 May, Ljubljana will host Druga Godba, a festival whose name translates as 'Other Music'. For the last few years the festival has been met with well-deserved international acclaim: for the third time since 2009 the influential British magazine Songlines has ranked it among the world's 25 best international music festivals.

During its year as European Capital of Culture, the city of Maribor will host more than a thousand events.

In May, the old city centre of Ljubljana will see the beginning of a packed season of free outdoor events. On weekends, the city's vibrancy will be enhanced by the Art Market, the Antique Flea Market and the ARTish festival of creativity. Those seeking a peaceful place to rest and perhaps do some reading will be able to find one in the Library under Trees.
