Additional Digital Marketing Activities for Ljubljana and the Central Slovenia Region

Ljubljana Tourism is currently implementing the project »Additional Digital Marketing Activities for Ljubljana and the Central Slovenia Region« as one of the leading tourism destinations in Slovenia. The project is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Regional Development Fund.

In the framework of the project, Tourism Ljubljana has been renewing the digital content at the Visit Ljubljana website, in order to bring its key content closer to the key target personas of Slovenian tourism, thereby increasing the effectiveness of its content in the target markets.

In the course of the project, a significant part of key content renewal already took place in 2018 and was followed by advertising campaigns on Facebook and on the Outbrain native advertising platform. In order to achieve better engagement of the target users at the beginning of the buying cycle (in the dreaming phase), new promotional video content was also prepared.

In 2019, a redesign of the Visit Ljubljana website will be taking place, refreshing its user experience (especially on mobile devices), look and feel and improving the engagement key performance indicators. Google Adwords advertising will be expanded to three additional markets where high potential has been detected in order to help to bring new visitors to our destination. At the same time, key content of the website will continue to be renewed and additional promotional video content will be produced.
