Bežigrad Ice Fest 2013

  • Description

    • The Bežigrad Ice Fest competition brings Ljubljana ice hockey back to its roots. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the first ice hockey match ever held in Slovenia, Ljubljana's famous Bežigrad Central Stadium, designed by the architect Jože Plečnik in 1925 and closed for renovation for quite a while now, will host an interesting series of matches on its frozen ground.

The Slovenian club Telemach Olimpija will compete against the Croatian ice hockey club Medvešček from Zagreb and the Austrian clubs EC VSV from Villach and KAC from Klagenfurt. The Bežigrad Ice Fest competition will also include the trials for the Red Bull Crashed Ice spectacle.
