Ljubljana souvenirs
Ljubljana Tourism develops and sells collections of distinctive Ljubljana-themed souvenirs. Common to all the products is that they are imaginatively designed, made from quality materials and accessibly priced. Some are the creations of leading Slovenian designers.
Ljubljana souvenirs are attractive and practical. They are suitable both as business gifts and as personal souvenirs. Each one of them is linked to an interesting story about Ljubljana.
The souvenirs from the collections listed below are available for purchase at the TIC Ljubljana Shop and at STIC Ljubljana.
The elegant Makalonca collection
This collection was created to mark the 140th anniversary of the birth of famous architect Jože Plečnik. The common thread connecting the beautifully designed items in the collection are Plečnik’s illustrations for the children’s book Makalonca by Fran Saleški Finžgar.
The collection consists of three lines or series:
- stationery (exercise books, pencils, pencil cases, etc.),
- kitchenware (enamel mugs and bowls, place settings, coasters, etc.),
- personal (travelling bags, shopping bags, umbrellas, etc.).
All the products are of the highest quality and almost all are made in Slovenia. They combine good design, Slovenia’s industrial tradition and the unique artistic stamp of Jože Plečnik.
The fun Ljubo the Dragon collection
The dragon is the symbol of Ljubljana. It appears on the products that make up this popular collection in the slightly more “fun” form of a little dragon called Ljubo. Ljubo the Dragon is inquisitive by nature and keen to experience everything Ljubljana has to offer. Products such as T-shirts, magnets, mugs and shopping bags are decorated with scenes from his adventures, in which he is portrayed as an eternal romantic, an always-hungry food-lover, a relaxed holidaymaker, a skilled skateboarder, and so on. A soft toy version is also available for purchase.
The romantic Ljubljana with Love collection
The products that make up this collection, adorned with the attractive slogan Ljubljana with Love, will accompany you throughout the day. They include glasses, keyrings, water bottles, reusable coffee cups, and so on. Ljubljana can also be wonderful when it’s raining – choose a waterproof cape or umbrella from this collection and find out for yourself.
The attractive Ljubljana Rose collection
Ljubljana is the proud owner of its own rose variety bearing its name. These white roses, specially bred for our city by a renowned European rose breeder, are planted in parks and other public areas. Ljubljana Tourism has produced a collection of souvenirs for all rose lovers that includes mugs, make-up bags and tablet cases (the latter two items made from natural felt).
