Ljubljana to host prestigious European Design Awards ceremony in 2025

In 2025, Ljubljana will host the closing event of the prestigious European Design Awards, considered one of the most important events in the field of communication design, making it a great opportunity to promote Slovenian design and culture.

From June 6-8th 2025 the European Design Awards closing ceremony will bring to Ljubljana 500 of Europe's most important designers. A number of important local partners have successfully joined forces in applying for the event, including The Brumen Foundation, the Municipality of Ljubljana, Ljubljana Tourism, the Museum of Architecture and Design, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (University of Ljubljana) and the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Economy, Sport and Tourism.

Europe's largest design event in Slovenia for the first time

The aim of the European Design Awards held since 2007 is to reward the best examples of communication design in Europe.

The fact that the 2025 closing event will be hosted in Slovenia for the first time is an excellent opportunity for the country to showcase its contribution to the European design world. The organisers expect the event to stimulate a lively exchange of ideas and expertise within the international design community.

Ljubljana will be the host of the event after Tallinn, Luxembourg and Naples, where the meeting is taking place in June this year.
