On the walk, you will visit practically every Slovenian region as you sample fresh, local produce, products, and dishes from selected vendors. What would you say to some homemade cheese from a family-run cheese dairy, authentic Slovenian honey from untouched forests, or freshly harvested vegetables from the gardens of Ljubljana?
Walking through the market – also known as the beating heart of the city – you will stop for tastings at a total of seven culinary stops, starting with a glass of sparkling wine from one of the country’s best winemakers.
Along the way you will learn the stories behind the abundantly stocked stalls and counters, and gain a thorough insight into the past and present culinary habits of the people of Ljubljana, as well as of Slovenians in general.
