Ljubljana might not immediately come to mind as one of Europe’s most gay-friendly destinations, but thanks to a relaxed culture in the city, it’s an increasingly popular destination for LGBT tourists. The city also has plenty of LGBT-specific venues and parties, as well as an annual Pride Parade and Pink Week (22 – 26 May 2019). Pink Week is held each year in the last week of May. So Visit Ljubljana, taste the finest local cuisine, invigorate your body and mind, pamper yourself and relax, spend time and have fun in a circle of friends.

And what are the city's best gay places to visit?

Club Tiffany - Located in the alternative area of Metelkova, this club (best on Friday nights) is probably Ljubljana’s best gay club. Though it’s without a doubt a gay club, it’s popular with all locals. The club also provides space for special parties, concerts and events. The gay club Tiffany runs a programme of club nights, art events, exhibitions, film debate nights, literary readings, round-table discussions, etc. It is a place where gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people come to socialize and have fun. The club premises are also home to the Q Cultural Centre, which promotes art and creativity and runs cultural projects.

Club Monokel - The lesbian club Monokel, part of the Metelkova mesto alternative culture centre, has existed since the early days of Metelkova mesto. It is a place for lesbian socializing and entertainment and the promotion of lesbian culture.

Pritličje - At night, Pritličje comes alive as a club hosting DJ nights and concerts of urban electronic music, while during the day, coffee, tea, and meals are served in its café space, which also serves as a venue for social events such as lectures, round-table discussions, and public debates. Pritličje is also home to comic books, housing Ljubljana city centre's only comic book shop. (Facebook Pritličje)
