The Taste Ljubljana brand marks popular local dishes that the chefs in selected restaurants prepare according to new cooking methods. The ingredients of these dishes are locally-sourced. Ljubljana Quality Since 2019 Ljubljana has had its very own guide from international gastronomy experts Gault & Millau, covering not only restaurants but also a selection of the best shops, selected hotels, farm stays, microbreweries and other establishments that help make Ljubljana one of the very top gastronomic destinations.

Ljubljana Ambassador Club

The vast majority of them travels to the menus of Ljubljana's restaurants from the surrounding farms, and it is these farmers who also give advice on which fruit or vegetables to promote that month. All participating restaurants are invited to offer at least one dish with a key ingredient of that month.

The WOW installation

It was created by Ljubljana Tourism in collaboration with city utilities company VOKA SNAGA and Ljubljana City Museum and Galleries (MGML). The delegation of the European Union pavilion at Expo 2015 was so enthusiastic about the installation that we agreed to move it in front of the EU pavilion, close to the Tree of Life, the official Expo 2015 installation.
