Discover village churches on the paths across the Barje. 7SEE THE STALAGMITES AND STALACTITES ON LJUBLJANA’S DOORSTEP Go down 478 steps into a 330 m long underground cave between Ljubljana and Grosuplje. On the guided tour admire stalagmites and stalactites, pillars, curtains and other shapes in the eight halls that make up Županova jama cave. On a hilltop near the cave an interesting fort, or tabor, that served to protect the local population against raiding Turks has been preserved from the 15th century.
