More I developed an interest in Bogenšperk Castle while filming an episode of Mysteries at the Castle for the Travel Channel, in my adopted homeland of Slovenia. We were onsite at Bogenšperk, once the home of the wildly fascinating polymath, Baron Janez Vajkard Valvasor (1641-1693), who is a household name in this part of the world, but little-known elsewhere.
