Humanity of the Red Cross Through a Lens

On 18 June 1944, in the small town of Gradac in White Carniola (Bela krajina), the story of the Red Cross of Slovenia began anew, as the organisation was re-established that day with the convening of its founding assembly. Today, the Red Cross of Slovenia comprises 56 local associations (RKS – LA). Under its umbrella, more than 15,000 volunteers are active, who last year collectively contributed nearly half a million hours of voluntary work.
