Artistic event of the year: International Biennial of Graphic Arts
Its current edition brings together traditional works of graphic art, lithographs, large-format wood engravings, etchings, serigraphs, posters, and artists' books, while at the same time broadening the conception of graphic arts beyond traditional definitions to include artistic interventions such as a sculpture floating down the city's river, street lamps in a park, kinetic machines made after historical drawings, and experimental school programmes. This kind of search for new modes of expression is a staple of the Ljubljana Biennial.

The stories are divided according to different topics, such as sights, food and drink, events, nature and active holidays, experiences for the whole family, novelties and yet undiscovered attractions… You can already read the first posted stories: a review of the most interesting events in February, a morning ascent to admire the sunrise on the Šmarna Gora hill, three museums in Ljubljana offering interesting experiences for children, an inspiring nature experience on the Ljubljana Marshes, the selection of vegan restaurants in Ljubljana, why was architect Jože Plečnik also ahead of his time in terms of green and sustainable thinking, a pleasant hike for the whole family from the Polhov Gradec mansion to the top of St. Lovrenc hill, a visit to the impressive Ljubljanica River Exhibition in Vrhnika. Ljubljana Tourism decided on this project as a response to the requirements of today’s tourists, who increasingly avoid the usual paths and search for more authentic experiences.

Ljubljana Convention Bureau hosted a fam trip for the European meeting organizers
They lunched at the Atelje, the very first Ljubljana restaurant with a Michelin star and had dinner in Most, cosy restaurant by the river. Additionally, they spent some time at a special venue Dvor Jezeršek outside Ljubljana, in the region of Central Slovenia, where they baked the traditional and most famous Slovenia pastry - potica and its smaller version, LePotička.

K5: MERCURY ROUTE IN THE VRHNIKA AREA
The route starts in front of the former mercury warehouse in Vrhnika, from where the ore was shipped to Ljubljana via the Ljubljanica River. There is an explanatory board with key information about the route and its history. The trail initially leads through the streets of Vrhnika, then gently climbs and emerges from the town onto mainly lonely gravel roads and cart tracks in the shelter of bushes and trees, meadows, and pastures.
