  • Hike by Trubar's birthplace parish

    This tour was given a honorary title for "the best regional tour" in UE Ljubljana in 2016, at a tender for the best theme tour under a slogan My country – beautiful and hospitable, organised by the Tourist association of Slovenia. The purpose of this tour is to pay respects to the father of Slovenian literature, whose birth place was in the neighbouring village of the same municipality. The tour programme: • at 9 am departure from Dom krajanov Turjak (bus stop) • walk through a forest study path to Trubar's homestead at Rašica, where you will learn something new about the father of Slovenian literature • continuing to the church of St Kancian in Škocjan, were Trubar was baptised - by explaining the history of the parish • arrival to Gradež, to the central event of our association, the Dried Fruit Festival, which will also be a celebration of the association's 20th anniversary.
