CONCERT OF OPERA ARIAS
The Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv and Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez are returning to Ljubljana after two years. They will again collaborate with RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, with which they already performed at the 70th Ljubljana Festival and received standing ovations. Flórez began his musical career as a singer and performer of Peruvian traditional and popular music, then studied in Philadelphia.

ROCOCO VARIATION
He has made regular appearances at the Ljubljana Festival since 2019. This year, he will be performing with the Slovenia-based conductor Steven Loy, founder of the new music ensemble Neofonía, which has given Slovenian premieres of numerous important late 20th and early 21st century works under his direction.

Cukrarna - 19th century sugar factory turns into a special venue and a large gallery space
In 1835, the first steam engine in the territory of today's Slovenia was installed in the factory, and a period of relative stability followed. In the years between 1841 to 1849, the new owners increased the factory's capacities and thus caused the biggest boom in the history of the Ljubljana sugar industry.
