Kamniška Bistrica Valley
Also worth visiting are a memorial park commemorating the deceased Slovenian alpinists and a hunting lodge designed by the architect Jože Plečnik for King Alexander I of Yugoslavia. The slopes surrounding the valley are dotted with caves used as a hiding place first for 18th and 19th century road robbers and then for wartime deserters.

The route passes by most of the village's attractions, from the Church of St. James (the Slovenian St. James Way (Jakobova pot) also runs past it and on through the village), which the monks of Bistrica wanted to build on top of the hill but the locals repeatedly carried the building materials back to the marsh; to the village chapel with its paintings by the famous church painter Simon Ogrin; to the former Folk Elementary School building and other interesting buildings of rural architecture, from the wooden pigsty and feed kitchen, to haylofts, kozolec hayracks, and typical ground-floor farmhouses with preserved wooden roofs.
