The annual Castle Days festival offers a programme of events for the entire family. It rounds off with an open-doors day, when visitors to Ljubljana Castle can view the exhibition Slovenian History, see the Virtual Castle projection, and visit the Outlook Tower free of charge.

In memory of May 16, 1905, when the then mayor Ivan Hribar purchased Ljubljana Castle from the state authorities for 60,200 krona, thus saving it from further decay, the Castle passed into municipal ownership.

This year, they will be celebrating the 14th Castle Days. As part of the Castle Days, they aim to offer visitors a rich experience of history. On Saturday, they will revive the myths and legends of dragons, and on Sunday, they will bring medieval customs to life, allowing visitors to experience the rich cultural heritage.
