The 36th edition of the Ljubljana International Film Festival once again brings outstanding achievements of world cinema to Ljubljana and beyond. Liffe showcases award-winning films from major festivals (Cannes, Berlin, Venice, etc.) alongside highlights of Slovenian filmmaking. The festival is dedicated to promoting young and emerging filmmakers, fostering dialogue with audiences, and developing educational and digital initiatives.
Screenings take place at seven venues across Ljubljana (Cankarjev dom, Kinodvor, Slovenian Cinematheque, Kino Bežigrad, Kino Šiška, AGRFT) as well as in Maribor, Novo mesto, and Celje.
This year, Liffe pays tribute to two remarkable directors – Ukrainian Yuliya Solntseva and American Kelly Reichardt – whose films explore identity, place, and the human condition through deeply personal visions.
