Festival Events at Jadro Restaurant

You are invited to Jadro Restaurant, where November will be full of festive fun! The celebrations kick off on 7 November with tamburitza music and dishes cooked under the lid (pod peko). On 8 November, enjoy a "Table with the Chef" featuring a tasting menu paired with top Slovenian wines.

From 10 to 16 November, the traditional tuna festival takes center stage, with a 150-kilogram tuna being filleted and prepared into various dishes right before your eyes. The month concludes with the Adriatic squid festival from 24 to 30 November.

Behind the Scenes of the Hospitality Profession: Opportunities and Challenges in Catering Events

Jezeršek Gostinstvo, in collaboration with the Bahrain Victorious cycling team and Ljubljana Tourism, opens the doors to the world of culinary arts — a world full of creativity, challenges, and opportunities. By taking a behind-the-scenes look at top-tier catering events, the organizers aim to show young people that hospitality is a dynamic, creative, and exciting profession with numerous personal and career growth opportunities.

The event is designed for students of hospitality schools who want to gain detailed insight into organizing exciting sports and other catering events, as well as the nutrition of professional cyclists. Through interactive stations, participants will learn about the operation of professional kitchens, the logistics of high-end events, the Bahrain Victorious mobile kitchen, and will have the chance to set up a small catering service for an event. They will also have the opportunity to speak with guests from the world of sports.

Cupping Tasting of Specialty Coffees from Finca Soledad (Ecuador)

During the November Gourmet Ljubljana festival, Kavarna Stow will host a special cupping tasting dedicated to one of the leading innovators in fermentation and micro-lots - Pepe Jijon, owner of Finca Soledad in Ecuador.

Under the guidance of an expert, participants will taste selected competition-grade coffees from series that have been used in national and international championships. The tasting will focus on the Sidra, Typica, and Bourbon varieties, grown at altitudes above 2,000 meters and processed using advanced techniques.

Through a professional cupping protocol, attendees will explore the sensory differences between various processing methods, learn about the impact of terroir on cup profile, and gain insights into modern cultivation practices that push the boundaries of quality. The event will also highlight the importance of ethical and sustainable production, as Pepe Jijon is renowned for his sustainable approaches and independent farm management philosophy.
