The Bee Trail Guided Tour starts in the Ljubljana Central Market by visiting honey stalls. The trail then continues to the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum where guests can visit Plečnik's Lectarija museum shop and taste Slovenian honey. After indulging in delicious honey, you go for a funicular ride to the Ljubljana Castle and descend through the Fleischmann tree-lined lane to the Botanical Garden where you visit the Carniolan apiary and learn about its AZ hives.
The trail will take you to the avenue of old chestnut trees in the Breg where a tour guide will explain the importance of honey-bearing plants for bees. The tour ends in the Pri kolovratu restaurant where you taste their honey dessert.
The price includes a professional tour guide, visit of Plečnik’s Lectarija museum shop and honey tasting at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, a one-way ride with the funicular to the Ljubljana Castle and a delicious honey dessert.
The tour is available from Tuesday to Sunday by prior arrangement. A schedule is to be agreed.
