Add to MyVisit Add to MyVisit

This excursion includes a visit to the Lipica Stud Farm, where the Lipizzaner horses originate from, and a tour of the Škocjan Caves, one of Slovenia's most beautiful natural sights.

The Škocjan Caves, carved into limestone by an intermittent karst river, is a natural site included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. A 5.8-kilometer system of underground karst caves extends over an area of 1.2 hectares.

The Lipica Stud Farm, founded in 1580 by the Austrian Archduke Charles of Hapsburg, was the world's first stud farm to breed Lipizzaner horses. At the farm, you will learn about the breeding, raising, and training of Lipizzaner horses.
