Hand weaving is one of the oldest crafts in Slovenia, and almost every household once owned a loom. Only a few weavers and amateurs still practice hand weaving today, as it has been supplanted by the cheaper industrial manufacturing of fabrics.
The weaving workshop will be hosted by the experienced weaver Mojca Tomšič, who has been weaving since secondary school. You will learn about the weaving process using natural materials and have a go at weaving a purse. You can take your woven product home as a keepsake of the memorable experience.
The price of the workshop includes
- Demonstration of the craft of weaving
