Maribor & Ptuj & Celje

This excursion includes a visit to Maribor, the second biggest city in Slovenia, and the nearby Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian city with a picturesque medieval city centre.

In Celje, you will take a walk through the streets of the old town centre and visit a castle that was once the home of the Counts of Celje.

You will then continue to Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian city, that was a flourishing town already back in Roman times. Today, its unique character is mainly due to its medieval city centre and the Castle.

Maribor is situated on the banks of the Drava river, in the middle of a hilly winegrowing area. The city's character is utterly different from that of Ljubljana. Your tour of the city, renowned, among other things, for the world's oldest vine, planted 440 years ago, will include a visit to a famous local wine cellar and a wine tasting session.

The price of the trip includes only transfers and guidance. Admission to all the sights is payable in cash at the sights.
