Guided fly fishing trip

Spend a day in the great outdoors and experience the rich diversity of aquatic life in Slovenia's beautiful rivers and streams.

This guided trip is intended for sport fishermen wanting to spend a day fly fishing in one of the beautiful Slovenian rivers, such as the Kamniška Bistrica or the Krka, in the company of an experienced fly fishing guide. Both the Kamniška Bistrica, a typical alpine river, and the karst river Krka, the second longest river in Slovenia, are home to trout and a variety of other fish species.

Schedule

1 April – 31 October 2015: Monday to Saturday at 8:00 (other times are available by prior arrangement)

Duration

 Eight to ten hours (full-day trip).

Number of participants

The course requires a minimum of one person to run. The maximum number of participants is six.

Departure point

 A location in Ljubljana or its surrounding area agreed on booking.

Language options

 Slovenian, English, Croatian, Serbian.

Prices

  • €150.00 for a single participant
  • €200.00 for two participants
  • €250.00 for three participants

The price includes transfers, a day permit for catch-and-release fishing on the Kamniška Bistrica or the Krka, fly fishing lures, a non-alcoholic drink, and the possibility of fishing gear and tackle hire.

Notes

  • The trip is only run when the water levels are suitable for fishing.
  • The trip organizer has the right to cancel the trip by 18:00 on the day prior to the trip if the weather conditions are considered unsafe.
  • Fishing is done using the catch-and-release approach.
  • Participants take part in the course at their own risk and must ensure their own safety in outdoor situations.
  • The number of participants is limited to three per day.
