Velika planina and Kamnik

This excursion begins with a visit to Velika planina, a high mountain plateau in the heart of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps renowned for its ski pistes, a range of unusual landscape attractions and one of Europe's best preserved shepherds' villages, and continues with a visit of Kamnik, a small medieval town with a rich history.

During the excursion you will take a walk around interesting shepherds' huts and get a feel of shepherds' life. After taking a tour of Velika planina, you will have a homemade schnapps tasting session and after you will be taken to the source of the river Kamniška Bistrica and the scenic Mali Predaselj and Veliki Predaselj gorges. Your trip will round off with a visit of Kamnik, a small medieval town with a rich history.

The price includes transfers, guidance, and admission fees.
