The sixth Conventa Crossover conference, connecting service providers, creators and marketing experts from meetings industry in the region of New Europe, will be held right after Conventa trade show this year as part of the "Conventa Week". The two events will be hybrid and taking place at Ljubljana GR - Congress and Convention Centre and MGLC Švicarija between 24-27th of August.

Ljubljana Tourism has been a partner of both events since their very beginning. The goal of the organizers - events agency Toleranca Marketing and the Slovenian Convention Bureau - remains the same as in previous years: ensuring the exchange of knowledge and ideas and encouraging networking opportunities.

This year's central theme is to "Think Global - Act Regionally", the already known motto, which to this day remains crucial in regards to the uncertainty and economic restart, during which the meetings industry is paying special attention on local and regional markets.

Certificate for safe meetings

The hybrid model combines the best of both live and digital events, as it allows organizers to quickly adapt to new situations. Their key concern this year is to follow the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. That is why they obtained the "Safe and Healthy at Events" certificate, which is awarded by the Slovenian Convention Bureau. The #SAFECONVENTA project, based on several European "test events" recommendations, highlights ten points for ensuring safety at the event.

How to strengthen the resilience of the meetings industry?

The participants of the Conventa Crossover conference will tackle the question of how to improve the meetings business after the pandemic in order for it to become more flexible and resilient. Slovenian and foreign experts will be considering how to organize successful digital events that are attractive to a professional audience, and will provide examples of the recent good practice cases.

The Conventa trade show will be attended by approx. 120 international meeting organizers and 70 service providers from the New Europe region.
