It attracts all those wishing to feel the mountain life as it once was and admire the picturesque wooden cottages, a unique feature of traditional alpine architecture.
From Ljubljana, we head north in the direction of the Kamnik – Savinja Alps. Right below the Alps one finds the spring of the clear Kamniška Bistrica mountain river and, looking up at 1,500 m above sea level, Velika Planina. A cable car will take us to the top, to the starting point of our trekking tour. With walking shoes on, we will admire the beauty of the surrounding mountains, have a chance to experience the everyday herdsmen life and taste fresh, still warm milk or some other dairy product.
