Galerija Idrijske čipke is a selling gallery where you can watch a bobbin-lace making demonstration and buy curtains, tablecloths, napkins, and other unique handmade products made with authentic Idrija lace, a product of Protected Geographical Indication.

All the products on offer are designed by Irma Vončina, a renowned designer and master of traditional Slovenian bobbin-lace making.

Vončina's most talked-about works include a pair of lace gloves and a decorative lace handkerchief given as an official gift by Slovenia to the Japanese royal court on the occasion of Princess Sayako's wedding in 2006, and a set of Idrija lace baby bedding made to fit a cradle presented as a gift by Slovenia to the British royal family when Prince George Alexander Luis was born.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday 10:00-19:00, Saturdays 10:00-14:00. Sunday and public holidays closed.
