Gostilna Šestica

Gostilna Šestica is Ljubljana's longest-running gostilna-style restaurant. Traditional dishes and Slovenian wines are served by waiters dressed in national costumes. To liven up the atmosphere, the restaurant occasionally hosts Slovenian evenings featuring live music and traditional dances.
Gostilna Šestica was the first restaurant in Ljubljana to be licensed to make the true Prekmurje layered cake known as 'prekmurska gibanica'.

The newer part of the restaurant serves various kinds of wood-fired pizza, lasagnes, salads, and home-made desserts.

Menu choice: Slovenian dishes, game dishes, freshwater fish, seafood, pizzas, vegetarian dishes, grilled dishes, lunchtime menus, desserts, homemade bread, homemade baked goods, varietal Slovenian wines.

Typical Ljubljana dishes: beef soups, frog legs, kranjska klobasa (pork and bacon sausage), "Little mixed" or tripe stew (goulash), pražen krompir (sautéed potatoes), štruklji (with cottage cheese), cooked apple strudel, potica (with walnut filling).

Mondays to Fridays 10:00-23:00, Saturdays 12:00-23:00, Sundays and and public holidays 10:00-17:00.
