There are many ways to reach the Technical Museum of Slovenia from Ljubljana (by car, taxi, bus or train), but if you are keen on cycling, rent a bike and before visiting the museum, explore the remote villages along the Ljubljana marshes, making yourself a perfect day. It was a rainy Saturday and we were stuck at home, not knowing what to do, when I got an idea.

We go for the five-course extrava- ganza, which somehow morphs to over story In the pink: (anti-clockwise from top) the Church of the Annunciation, Figovec restaurant and a TikTok-er posts a recommendation seven once you factor in the ‘chef’s greetings’ as it calls the amuse bouches. One morning, we hire a private guide via the tourist office and it feels almost a betrayal of my new companion TikTok. But, born and raised in Ljubljana, she fills in plenty of gaps – the parts that TikTok does not seem to reach.

Take the bus number 2, 7, 12, 24 or 27 from the city centre. A really nice option to reach the BTC City is also to rent a bike at one of the Bicikelj stations. The distance from the BTC City to the city centre is only 2.5 kilometres and only 25 kilometres to the Ljubljana airport.
