Historical City Centre and Ljubljana Castle
The tour, beginning in front of the Town Hall, takes you through the historical city center, whose unique architecture is the legacy of the Baroque and Art Nouveau periods and, most notably, the work of the famous 20th-century architect Jože Plečnik. Ljubljana Castle, standing on a hill above the city for about 900 years, is Ljubljana's main attraction. Trnovo Church (Church of St. John the Baptist)
Some of the furnishings, including the lamp of eternal light, were designed by architect Jože Plečnik. The history of the Trnovo Church is connected with one of the best known romantic stories of Ljubljana. It was in front of this church that the Slovenian poet France Prešeren, one of the giants of the 19th century Romantic literature and the author of the poem later adopted as Slovenia's national anthem, first met his muse, Julija Primic, and fell in love with her.

Walking Tour of Ljubljana Old Town
From the Prešernov trg square, dominated by the Franciscan Church and connected to the Triple Bridge, you will head towards Plečnik's Market and the Cathedral, continue to the Town Hall and the Robba Fountain, cross the Cobblers' Bridge, pass the National and University Library to reach the Križanke Summer Theatre, and continue to the Kongresni trg square.

Kids can experience different professions like being a painter, a baker, a bank clerk, a policeman, a fireman… Mini City also includes a café and a cake shop, so whole family can easily spend an hour or two there.
