Beer Way to Freedom Tour

A circular ride with the Urban train
The Urban electric train will take you on an attractive circular tourist trail, which connects the main city attractions from the Town Hall to the Ljubljana Castle, the Špica embankment with the starting point for the Botanical Garden, the Trnovski pristan embankment, Plečnik House in Krakovo, the Roman wall, Križanke summer theatre, Slovenska cesta street, Kongresni trg square, Parliament and Prešernova cesta street. The passengers are able to get off at the Opera House to visit the Museum of Modern Art and the National Gallery or take a ride along the Cankarjeva cesta road to the Slovenska cesta road and the Ajdovščina stop and then continue via Dalmatinova ulica street and Miklošičeva cesta road across the Prešernov trg square to the final stop at the Town Hall.

It is located in the centre of Rakitna, on the hillside above the kindergarten and the branch school, close to the outdoor gym and children's play areas, on an area of around 600 square metres. It has an elongated track of about 50 metres in length. It has a 180-degree turning circle at both ends. There are a total of 19 humps on the start and return sections.

Cekin Mansion: National Museum of Contemporary History
The journey through recent Slovenian history takes visitors through six exhibition sections, from a First World War trench, through the time of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians, past the conflagrations of the Second World War, through the turbulent post-war period and the time of the socialist regime and economy in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and further on to the time of Slovenia's independence. In order to obtain funding to build the new high school edifice, they sold a part of the famous Ursuline garden, which extended west from the church and monastery and is currently occupied by the commercial and arts complex in Trg republike (Republic Square). By erecting the building of the Ursuline high school, Plečnik delin- eated the appearance of the new Šubičeva Street.
