Ljubljana Among 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities
© Dunja Wedam Of 377 places that were registered for the title, only 100 met the criteria of the strict European Commission which will monitor and support the selected cities in their transformation to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. The selected cities will act as experimental and innovation centers that will serve as an example for other European cities to achieve carbon neutrality. Each of the selected cities will sign an agreement to become climate neutral by 2030. 12 percent of the population of the European Union lives in the 100 selected cities.
