Ljubljana wins the digitalisation award in the European Capital of Smart Tourism 2020 competition

Petra Stušek from Tourism Ljubljana gave a presentation of the successful projects and initiatives undertaken by the City Municipality of Ljubljana and Tourism Ljubljana, such as the Green Supply Chains and Locally Grown Food Exchange, urban bee-keeping, new hiking trails in the Ljubljana region, and the new “Smell of Ljubljana” product, which is currently being developed.

Where to find natural bathing areas near Ljubljana?

In summer there is a small bathing area on the lake which, on hot days during the holiday season, is filled with a relaxed and happy atmosphere. There is also a restaurant serving Slovenian food here. For hiking enthusiasts, a popular marked hiking trail leads from the village of Jezero to Krim (1,107 metres). An equally popular and far shorter trail leads to the summit of Sveta Ana (484 metres), a hill topped by a picturesque pilgrimage church that offers a stunning view over the Barje wetland, the hills of the Central Slovenia region and the Slovene Alps.

Ljubljana congress offer successfully presented online

© Srce Slovenije Online summer fam trip with Slovenian providers As the traditional summer fam trip could not be organized this year, the Ljubljana Convention Bureau decided to take international meeting professionals on a online study tour, in cooperation with the Slovenian Convention Bureau and 15 other Slovenian providers. The idea turned out to be very successful as more than 110 meeting organizers from 45 countries attended the one-hour presentation, of which one quarter were non-European.
