Afriška VasFest is an annual African festival that aims to showcase the rich diversity of African cultures through art, music, cuisine, fashion, and sport. The event is intended to foster and promote a spirit of tolerance and multiculturalism. At the same time, it offers an excellent opportunity for networking among participants of various ethnic backgrounds.
The festival offers a diverse cultural programme that includes workshops, courses, and various artistic performances. In 2025, the four-day festival will be dedicated to powerful African women.
Festival highlights will include:
various panel discussions organised by NGOs such as the Peace Institute, SRC SASA, the Gmajna Cultural Association, and many others,
a performance by the group Matojeni-Melo Mancas, fronted by a Zimbabwean-born singer known for her contemporary interpretations of traditional songs,
a concert by the "African lioness" Awa Fally, a Senegalese singer renowned for her stamina and exceptional voice,
a lively performance by Malagasy singer Eusuebia Fatoma with her full band from Antananarivo.
Feel the rhythm, taste the flavours, and celebrate the beauty of Africa — right by the Ljubljanica River in Ljubljana!
