Amid the winter sports buzz, Ljubljana will once again take center stage on the European futsal scene! From January 21 to February 7, 2026, the Slovenian capital will co-host UEFA Futsal EURO 2026, one of the continent’s premier futsal tournaments, alongside Riga (Latvia) and Kaunas (Lithuania).
The tournament will bring together 16 of Europe’s top national teams, all of whom qualified through the official qualification process. As one of the three host nations, Slovenia has secured direct entry and will play in front of home fans at two venues in Ljubljana – Arena Stožice and Tivoli Arena.
Ljubljana will host the group-stage matches of Groups C and D, several quarterfinal matches, the semifinals, the third-place match, and the grand final, promising a true sporting highlight for all futsal fans.
Arena Stožice, a modern multi-purpose venue with a capacity of over 10,000 spectators and a long history of hosting major sports and cultural events, will serve as the main venue for matches in Ljubljana.
The tournament promises a top-tier sporting spectacle, offering Slovenian fans the chance to watch Europe’s futsal stars in action, while once again showcasing Ljubljana’s ability to host major international events and deliver an unforgettable sports experience to visitors.
