The exhibition Biodiversity of Slovenia is a part of the LIFE NATURAVIVA project, the main purpose of which is to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity and how much we depend on it.

The term biodiversity describes the incredible diversity of life on Earth. These are not only the different species, which are thought to number more than 10 million on Earth, but also the diversity of specimens of each and the diversity of their life habits. Slovenia represents a good 0.01% of the land on Earth and has an appropriate share of global biodiversity in terms of size and geographical location. About 25,000 species are known, and probably as many more live in our territory.

A part of this will be presented on 80 panels of the Jakopič promenade. The exhibition Biodiversity of Slovenia is being created as part of the LIFE NATURAVIVA project, the main purpose of which is to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity and how much we depend on it.
