Choreographer Edward Clug created a new interpretation of Henrik Ibsen's last major work in verse, Peer Gynt and transformed it into a ballet.

Event is part of the festival Ljubljana Festival

Established composer Edvard Grieg composed the incidental music for the play and Edward Clug uses other orchestral, chamber, and solo works by Grieg such as his String Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 27, Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16, and Holberg Suite, Op. 40, in order to achieve a dynamic and coherent development of the narrative expressed through dance.
