Event is part of the festival Ljubljana Festival
The orchestra is known for its bold and imaginative programming, which combines nineteenth-century repertoire with contemporary pieces and rarely performed works from other periods, often placing Romantic-era classics in ingenious and unexpected contexts. They will also play two premieres of the Austrian composer Julia Purgina and Slovenian composer Voto Žuraj.
The ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra has worked with some of the world’s highest-profile conductors. On this occasion, the baton is taken up by the young British conductor Kerem Hasan.
