On Saturday, August 26 we will be witnessing an amazing event. From the Ljubljanica river embankment, fans will follow the match between former Volleyball world stars, which will be taking place on a floating field in the middle of the river.
On Saturday, eight pairs in both men's and women's categories will compete for a spot in the semifinals. On Sunday, the program will include the semifinal matches, with the grand finale for women starting at 9:00 PM, followed by the men's final.
The playing surface will be flanked by glowing lines that will mark the playing field, and the unique evening atmosphere will offer to the spectators the feeling of watching the Volleyball players as they move just above the water’s surface. It is a design and implementation of a Volleyball court that has never been done before.
The organizers have once again prepared a diverse accompanying program, including a dance performance "Povodni mož and Urška" led by renowned choreographer Miha Krušič, as well as performances by Duo Kamikaze. The VIP area will encompass the entire Makalonca venue, while the fan zone will be located on Stritarjeva Street. There, volleyball matches will be displayed on a large screen, and the final match will be live-streamed on Planet TV.
