FIBA Cup Making Its Way Across Slovenia

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) aims to offer the winning team a refined and elegant trophy that honors the tradition of the competition while embodying its values in a modern way. The trophy, crafted from 16 unique cast shapes symbolizing the number of teams, comes together to form a blossoming flower-like symbol.

A replica of the trophy is already in Slovenia and available for viewing, photography, and even touch in all women's basketball communities during the friendly matches of the Slovenian national team in their preparation period.

The tournament sponsors, Lisca company, have ensured that the trophy will be present in each city a day before the events, displayed near the sponsor's retail locations. Visitors will not only have the opportunity to see the trophy but also to acquire basketballs, championship shirts, or even tickets to the basketball games.

The highlight of the Trophy Tour will be on June 8th when the national team players step onto the competitive court at the Stožice Arena.

Emir Haskič, the tournament director, emphasized: "Having a brand new trophy available for the Slovenian public to see and even touch is a unique opportunity that no organizer has utilized before. I invite basketball enthusiasts to visit the nearest location and take a memorable photo with the trophy. And of course, basketball fans must not miss the friendly matches, where they can warm up their voices for the championship at the Stožice Arena in Ljubljana."
