The Gourmet Ljubljana Tasting Menus feature a large variety of dishes to suit all tastes and preferences. There is something for everyone – meat eaters, vegetarians, and children alike.
It’s also a great way to avoid the crowds (since the Open Kitchen is extremely popular both with locals and visitors to Ljubljana), as the food and drink you order will be served to you at a private table booked for gourmet adventurers. You will also get to meet the team behind this unique food market.
The Open Kitchen has been an indispensable part of life at Ljubljana’s Central Market for over a decade. Open every Friday from spring to autumn (weather permitting), it appeals to fans of good food from all over the world looking to explore Slovenia’s vibrant and highly diverse culinary landscape. The food market features over fifty outstanding vendors from Ljubljana and other parts of the country mixing with visitors and creating a pleasant bustle that will quickly draw you in.

Open Kitchen tasting menus will be available only by prior order at the Tourist Information Center Ljubljana on Adamič-Lundrovo nabrežje embankment 2 or via the form on the website www.visitljubljana.si. You can choose from four different tasting menus and (optionally) add one of four beverage pairings. Orders can be placed until Friday, 9:30 am.
If any of the selected eateries are absent on the day or their offer is unavailable, we will replace the dish or drink and notify you accordingly.
