Osolnik, a 875-metre high hill on the easternmost edge of the Polhov Gradec Dolomites, offers beautiful views of forested hills on one side and the peaks of the Kamnik Alps on the other. The top of the hill is accessible by several routes from the small towns of Medvode and Škofja Loka.
Osolnik is topped by a 16th century church of Sts. Hermagoras and Fortunatus, which was originally built in the Romanesque style, but was later rebuilt several times. The church's interior, which is not open to the public, is decorated with a wooden ceiling and an altar dating back to 1701.
Departure point from the direction of Medvode: the Ločnica brook.
