Rašica River Fishing Resort

The river Rašica flows through its namesake village, famous as the birthplace of Primož Trubar (1508–1586), the father of the written Slovenian language and the leader of the Protestant movement in Slovenia. A museum collection dedicated to him is on view at the Trubar Homestead, a historical homestead with an abandoned watermill standing on the site of Trubar's birth house.

The Rašica basin with its numerous streams owes its character to its marshy ground, wet meadows, and lush riverside vegetation. The river Rašica and its tributaries are home to brown trout, rainbow trout, chub, and grayling.
