Zois Palace was built at the end of the 18th century from several older buildings. It is famous for having been home to Baron Žiga Zois (1747-1819), who entered Slovenian history as a supporter of the Slovenian cultural renaissance spearheaded by the Valentin Vodnik Circle.
The well preserved exterior of the Zois Palace reflects influences from neoclassicism. Also the original interior is relatively well preserved. In the Palace's yard stands an old fountain. Zois's tombstone is built into the wall facing the yard.
The building is not open to tourists.
