Ljubljana’s Tourism Week Earns City a Spot in Green Destinations Top 100 Stories

Its eleventh placement on this prestigious list was earned thanks to the Ljubljana Tourism Week, organized by Ljubljana Tourism together with numerous partners since 2022 and aimed at the residents of Ljubljana. With a diverse program of experiences, guided tours, and workshops, it enables residents to actively explore the city’s tourism offer while also raising awareness of the positive effects of tourism on everyday life.

Gregorčki on the Gradaščica: Closing the LUV Fest and Welcoming Spring

Gregory’s Day Since its start on February 8, LUV Fest has been offering numerous concerts, performances, creative workshops, themed city tours, and exhibitions. Until March 12, visitors can enjoy special culinary offerings in Ljubljana’s restaurants and pastry shops, take advantage of festival discounts at select retailers, indulge in pampering packages at Ljubljana’s hotels, and admire artistic installations and unique street decorations throughout the city.

CD Congress Centre hosted the 36th European Brewery Convention

Part of this year's social programme in Ljubljana focused on presenting the Slovenian brewing tradition. The local organizing committee offered delegates a tour to the SHIRB, the Slovenian Institute of hop research and brewing, to Laško brewery and to the newest tourist attraction, the first beer Fountain in Žalec.

Ljubljana Convention Bureau hosted a fam trip for the European meeting organizers

They visited the city’s Central market, where they tasted the local cheese selection, and, with the help of vendors at the flower market, created their very own dried flowers bouquets. In the Union Brewery, they attended the guided tour which took them through 150 years of history of brewing in Ljubljana, and the development of the Union brand. They also enjoyed a culinary experience of the local brewing tradition.

Banka Slovenije Museum

Notes The entrance to the museum is through a passage between Cankarjeva and Tomšičeva (behind the Nama department store). The Banka Slovenije Museum offers free guided tours, workshops and education programmes for individuals and groups of all ages. Programmes are suitable for groups of up to 25.
