Ljubljana is for dogs too: 5 tips for a fun-filled day with your dog
There's one dog park in Koseze, at Štepanjsko naselje neighbourhood and one at The Northern City Park. My favorite though, is the dog park at Šmartinski park. It's the largest and there's a car park right nearby. Don't forget to pick up any poops after him.

Hiking trio close to Ljubljana: Katarina, St. Jakob, Grmada
If you’re taking a bus, take the route 51, Ljubljana – Dobrova – Polhov Gradec (More information on city buses). The trail started as a gravel road where instead of cars I met an equally surprised Alpine ibex. If the elegant beasts usually don’t mind our presence in the mountains and even allow us to approach them as close as 20-30 metres, this almost-city fellow fled immediately upon our eye contact.

You can also fill your water bottles from the drinking fountain before you start cycling. As you leave the village and then the forest out of Ljubljana’s city limits, you will see a vast marsh plain with meadows and fields and forest edges, with Mount Krim, the "southern guardian of the marshes", looming overhead, and the views disappearing into the darkness of the forests of the Krim foothills.
