  • Logatec: Roman Road (Trekking/gravel)

    The trail follows a road which leads to the top of a large, forested Karst plateau among the Trnovski gozd forest, Mount Nanos, the Postojna Basin, and the Logaška planota Plateau, between the Notranjska and Primorska regions. It starts with a 10-kilometre-long slope, which does not let up until the end of the climb where riders are greeted by the Stara pošta inn. Just before that, about a third of the way along the route, it is worth turning off the road into the woods to take a breather at the well-preserved remains of the Late Roman fort at Lanišče.
