Exhibition on Gallus Embankment

  • 1 Sep - 1 Oct 2025

    Gallusovo nabrežje Embankment, 1000 Ljubljana

What is Open Science and Why Does It Matter to All of Us?

This exhibition takes you into the world of research, where knowledge, data, and results are freely accessible – without barriers, for everyone.

You will discover how Slovenian research institutions are putting the principles of open science into practice: collaboration, transparency, and knowledge sharing. The exhibition presents real-life examples, tools, projects, and infrastructure that improve access to scientific content and accelerate the transfer of knowledge into everyday life.

It highlights the importance of public engagement in science and encourages stronger connections between researchers and society. The exhibition was created as part of the SPOZNAJ project, which brings together 20 research organisations across Slovenia and the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana.
