Online summer fam trip with Slovenian providers

As the traditional summer fam trip could not be organized this year, the Ljubljana Convention Bureau decided to take international meeting professionals on a online study tour, in cooperation with the Slovenian Convention Bureau and 15 other Slovenian providers. The idea turned out to be very successful as more than 110 meeting organizers from 45 countries attended the one-hour presentation, of which one quarter were non-European. The project was led by the Slovenian Convention Bureau with the support of the Slovenian Tourist Board. The video production was carried out by Studio Virc.

The video that presented Slovenian destinations and regions (Portorož, Ljubljana, Bled and Bohinj) focused on the main advantages, the congress offer and accommodation facilities, as well as the offer of (sustainable) experiences in Slovenia. The Ljubljana hotel sector was represented by hotels BWP Slon, Union Hotels Collection and Radisson Blu Plaza. Ljubljana's main attributes in the field of meetings and events were outlined by a representative of the Ljubljana Convention Bureau and the possibilities of incentive green travel in the destination were introduced by Intours DMC. The filming took place in the Old Town, Tivoli Park and at the Ljubljana Castle.

At the end of the webinar, the Slovenian providers were available for questions. The advantage of the virtual space is also that it allows for direct response, which was excellent – the clients praised the destinational offer, sustainability of the entire destination as well as the design of the video and a selection of content. You can watch the full video here; the part of Ljubljana starts at 14:07.

Presentation within the ICCA Associations Relations Programme

Last year the Ljubljana Convention Bureau joined the ICA ARP initiative aimed at connecting and developing the segment of international scientific and professional associations. It was created by the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), and is very prestigious one as only 8 European destinations currently participate.

In early July Ljubljana's MICE offer was presented via an online webinar to representatives of five international professional associations, who were very enthusiastic about the city. The Ljubljana CVB has already received a request for an event with 1200 pax.
